The delegation included Oybek Shakhavdinov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and Shokhruz Samadov, First Secretary of the Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Budapest.


 


The delegation members were introduced to the research results at the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Szeged and the innovative solutions of the Archenerg Metal Cluster. They placed particular emphasis on cooperation in the construction industry, the possibilities of utilizing hydrogen, solar, geothermal, and biomass energy, and cooperation in technological collaborations and innovations.


The event was opened by Dr. László Péter Salgó, Prefect of Csongrád-Csanád County, emphasizing the importance of international cooperation in the field of sustainable energy. The Prefect of the Csongrád-Csanád County Government Office also recalled the cooperation agreement signed with the Surkhandarya region in April 2024, and expressed his hope that today's meeting will further contribute to the deepening of Uzbek-Hungarian relations.


Oybek Shakhavdinov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uzbekistan, expressed his delight in his speech at being back in Szeged, and his immense pride that professional meetings of this kind exemplify the continuity of the good relations between the two countries. He also emphasized that the jointly achieved results will be fruitful not only for the present but also for future generations.


The first speaker of the event, Prof. Dr. József Sárosi, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Szeged, the worthy host of the event, presented the achievements and success components of the Faculty of Engineering. In his presentation, he emphasized that he considers it important for his students to encounter companies, their expected demands, and the pressing problems of the future during their studies. They place great emphasis on future-building issues and similar forward-looking projects.


The professional program of the event continued with Dr. Gyula Nagy, Vice President of the Archenerg-Metal Cluster, who introduced the Archenerg-Metal Cluster and informed the attendees about the opportunities within the cluster.


At the conclusion of the professional program, Zoltán Horváth, owner of Peters Electro Ltd., presented his unique invention, which holds multiple patents. The Booster E Saver, developed by Peters Electro, is a device designed exclusively for energy use based on electrical frequency technology, for the sake of a more sustainable future for the world. After years of research, the inventors found a frequency that affects diesel fuel molecules, thereby improving fuel efficiency without the addition of additives or chemicals.    


During the visit, the parties discussed the possibilities of joint research and development projects, as well as technology transfer and professional training. The delegation members spoke highly of the achievements of the University of Szeged and the Archenerg-Metal Cluster, and expressed their commitment to further strengthening cooperation.


At the conclusion of the professional program, Prof. Dr. István Bíró, President of the Archenerg-Metal Cluster and host of the event, expressed his delight in his speech that the two countries have been working together for years in the field of renewable energy and technological innovations, and can boast fruitful cooperation. Our goal is to further strengthen this positive process, in which the companies of both countries could find potential partners.


The official program was followed by an informal discussion, where the participants had the opportunity for networking and further exchange of ideas.


The visit reinforced the leading role of the University of Szeged and the Archenerg-Metal Cluster in the field of sustainable energy, and opened new perspectives in Hungarian-Uzbek cooperation.
