This fantastic result is not just an acknowledgment, but also proof that Hungary is home to world-class, innovative solutions in environmental protection. The Archenerg International Cluster for Renewable Energy, Machinery and Construction Innovation member MG Építész Iroda (MG Architect's Office) and their Terravapor project, which focuses on "Investigating the use of evaporative cooling with porous materials (serial ceramics)," was so convincing for the jury that it won the best project award, standing out from nearly four hundred entries from 45 countries.

What is the "Go Green with Taiwan" project about?

This global initiative, organized by the Taiwan International Trade Agency (TITA) and the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA), aims to raise awareness about the importance of sustainability and showcase Taiwan's leading role in green technologies. The project provides an opportunity for individuals, social institutions, and non-governmental organizations to submit ideas for creating a better, greener future using Taiwanese green products and solutions.

Hungarian Success on the International Stage:

Out of 396 entries in the "Go Green with Taiwan" project, 17 semi-finalists from 12 countries were selected, including Hungary. This in itself is a huge recognition, but MG Építész Iroda raised the bar even higher by winning the best project award.

"Our team consisted of 3 members: Dr. Gábor Márkus, Rita Homolya, and myself, participated in the development of the project. We are very pleased to have participated in this international project and to have received an award," said Lőrinc Márkus of MG Építész Iroda and a member of the Hungarian team.

The competition was extremely popular, receiving 396 applications from 45 countries, mostly from Vietnam, India, the Philippines, Poland, Thailand, Malaysia, the United Kingdom, and Indonesia. The top 6 projects were announced in the last week of November, and the finalists won a fully funded trip to Taiwan to present their projects. The grand final took place on December 10, 2024, where the top 3 projects were selected. Each winner received a $20,000 prize, and the results were announced on December 11, 2024.
