International Scientific Symposium on Renewable Energy in Subotica. The international scientific symposium Expres 2025, focusing on renewable energy sources, was held in Subotica. Researchers presented 18 scientific presentations at the event, which were also compiled into a publication.
A highlight of the symposium was the presentation by the Archenerg-Metal Cluster from Szeged, during which Patrik Dominik Nagy gave a presentation titled "From Idea to Application."
During the presentation, researchers gained insight into how to transform their ideas into successful grant applications and how to bring their innovations to market. Patrik Dominik Nagy emphasized that, according to the cluster's experience, ensuring the market success of an innovation requires significant additional support and poses a challenge that SMEs and researchers must overcome. His presentation further illustrated how universities and SMEs can collaborate with the cluster in realizing their ideas, developing grant applications, and creating marketable products. He also outlined the cluster's involvement and collaborative role in research initiatives and presented some project ideas, such as the concept of energy communities and the potential of hydrogen energy storage.
Dr. Tibor Poós, associate professor at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics, highlighted his tenth participation in the Express conference, which he always enjoys returning to with his Hungarian colleagues. At this year's conference, he gave a presentation in the field of chemical engineering, focusing on the repair of defects in enameled tanks.
The event provided an important platform for doctoral students in the region to present their scientific findings in an international forum. It also created excellent networking opportunities. Prof. Dr. József Nyers, President of the Association of Hungarian Engineers and Technicians in Vojvodina, emphasized the extraordinary importance of human connections in the scientific community and highlighted that the conference creates ideal conditions for networking and establishing collaborations in the field of research.
The participation of the Archenerg-Metal Cluster at the international scientific symposium in Subotica was particularly significant, as the cluster plays a key role as an active player in the region in promoting and introducing innovations related to renewable energy sources to the market. Participants from Serbia, Hungary, and Slovakia attended the international symposium, once again demonstrating the regional importance of the event in fostering scientific dialogue in the field of renewable energy sources.
