In recognition of their outstanding work, the following individuals have been awarded the Hungarian Order of Merit, Civilian Division:


 


Dr. Miklós Erdélyi, physicist, member of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, Head of Department at the Institute of Physics, Faculty of Science and Informatics, University of Szeged;


Dr. Attila Sándor Fehér, biologist-ecologist, member of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, Deputy Director General, Head of Department at the Biological Institute, Faculty of Science and Informatics, University of Szeged, Scientific Advisor at the Plant Biology Institute, Hungarian Academy of Sciences, Szeged Biological Research Centre;


Dr. Gyula Sáry, member of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, Head of Department at the Institute of Physiology, Faculty of Medicine, University of Szeged;


Dr. László Zádori, mathematician, member of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, Professor at the Bolyai Institute, Faculty of Science and Informatics, University of Szeged;


Dr. László Zimányi, physicist, member of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, former Director and Scientific Advisor at the Biophysics Institute, Hungarian Academy of Sciences, Szeged Biological Research Centre.


For their exceptional contributions, the following individuals have been awarded the Knight's Cross of the Hungarian Order of Merit, Civilian Division:


 


Dr. János Bá́rth, ethnographer, historian, museologist, retired director of the Kecskemét Katona József Museum, adjunct associate professor at the University of Szeged;


Dr. Károly Oszvay, physicist, associate professor at the Institute of Physics, Faculty of Science and Informatics, University of Szeged;


Dr. József Piffkó, maxillofacial surgeon, Director and Head of Department at the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Faculty of Medicine, University of Szeged;


Dr. Ágota Márta Szabóné Balogh, Deputy Dean, associate professor at the Faculty of Education, Gál Ferenc University;


Péter Szarka, associate professor at the Faculty of Education, Gál Ferenc University.
