Format: Introductory plenary session with information about the EU-Life RENOINVEST project and keynotes on financing, followed by workshops in a World Café format. Working language: German, with the international expert contribution presented in English.
Target Audience: 30-40 experts and stakeholders from finance, real estate, construction, and energy sectors, as well as representatives from interest groups, politics, and academia.
Background: Access to private financing for energy efficiency and integrated renewable energy remains a challenge in light of the European Commission’s climate and energy goals for 2030 and the long-term goal of a climate-neutral economy by 2050 under the European Green Deal. Substantial investments must be mobilized to achieve these goals. In line with the RepowerEU Plan, accelerating the expansion of renewable energy is essential to reduce the EU’s dependency on fossil fuel imports.
The first national roundtable within the framework of RenoInvest aims to:
- Continue the stakeholder dialogue initiated by the two Sustainable Energy Investment Forums (SEIF 2022, 2023).
- Improve dialogue, collaboration, and awareness among key public and private stakeholders. Large-scale investment programs are needed to mobilize private financing for energy efficiency and integrated renewable energy investments.
- Link national and international experiences and make them transferable.
The roundtable offers ample opportunity for professional exchange and discussions among participants.
