The event provided an excellent opportunity to gain insights into current trends and challenges in sustainable real estate development, with a special focus on European real estate investments and green financing practices.

The keynote speaker of the event was Dr. Christine Lemaitre, Managing Director of the German Sustainable Building Council (DGNB) and President of the Climate Positive Europe Alliance, who provided an in-depth overview of European green real estate financing trends. In her presentation, she highlighted the characteristics of various green building certification systems, including DGNB, BREEAM, and LEED, and their role in sustainable architecture. She emphasized the advantages of the DGNB certification system, pointing out where and how it surpasses the more widely used systems in Hungary.

During panel discussions, experts and participants jointly explored what types of buildings international investors, tenants, and financiers are seeking and how green building certifications align with the objectives of the EU Taxonomy. Special attention was given to the connection between sustainable architecture and the financial sector, which is increasingly shaping real estate market decisions.

The practical examples presented at the event highlighted that sustainability is no longer just an expectation but plays a key role in the functioning of the real estate market. The trends introduced by DGNB experts confirmed the realization that green financing and certification systems are essential not only from an environmental perspective but also from an economic standpoint for the future of real estate development.

For the Renoinvest project, the event provided valuable experiences and connections that we can leverage in the planning and implementation of sustainable real estate investments. We thank the organizers for the high-quality program and look forward to future professional meetings with great anticipation!
